With eight Iveco model families on our platform and a global network of more than 400 trained and authorised agents, we develop Iveco-specific calibrations that improve power, torque and fuel efficiency.

Built To Work, Built To Last

Iveco has been building commercial vehicles since 1975, when Fiat brought together its truck operations with OM, Unic, and Magirus-Deutz under a single badge. The trucks that came out of that Italian and German engineering have always sold on the same promise: durable, straightforward and cheap to run. That is why so many Stralis tractors, EuroCargo rigids and Trakker tippers are still working hard long after the finance has been paid off. A truck you already own and trust is the best candidate there is for a remap.

Mapped Across The Range

Our R&D team has developed calibrations across the Iveco range, from the 3.9-litre Tector in a light EuroCargo through the 7.8-litre Cursor 8 and 10.3-litre Cursor 10 to the 12.9-litre Cursor 13 that powers the heaviest Stralis and Trakker models. With eight Iveco model families covered on our platform and a global network of more than 400 trained and authorised agents, we deliver Iveco calibrations that unlock real power, torque and fuel efficiency while protecting the reliability your operation relies on.

The Smart Business Case For Iveco Remapping

Operators buy Iveco for the running costs, so a remap that lowers them is an easy case to make. Our Iveco calibrations sharpen combustion efficiency at the ECU level, meaning the truck burns less diesel while covering the same route with the same load. On a Stralis or EuroCargo putting serious mileage on the clock each year, even a few percent off the fuel bill is money that goes straight back into the operation.

We typically see fuel consumption drop by 5% to 15%, depending on the engine, the load and how the truck is driven. The bigger the fleet, the harder those savings add up.

The torque is where a driver first notices the change. A remapped Stralis pulls harder lower down the rev range, so the Eurotronic gearbox holds a gear on a climb instead of hunting for a lower one, and a loaded EuroCargo gets away from junctions with less effort. The engine works less hard to hold speed under load, which takes the edge off a long shift. For a fleet manager juggling fatigue and driver retention, a truck that is easier to drive is a truck that drivers want to stay in.

If you run one Iveco rather than a fleet, the maths is just as simple. A remapped Stralis or Trakker has more in reserve on a loaded climb and a stronger, more confident overtake, and the fuel saving chips away at the running costs that keep creeping up. You are getting more out of a truck you have already paid for.

None of this is worth anything if it puts the truck at risk. Our Iveco remaps are built by our UK-based R&D team around the tolerances of each engine, and we never ask the hardware to do more than it was designed to do. Every remap carries a lifetime software warranty, and before any work starts, we run a full diagnostic health check to confirm the engine is in good order. Your original factory map is saved on a dedicated server, so you can put the whole thing back exactly as it was whenever you want.

Understanding Iveco Engine Platforms

Iveco built its range around a small number of engine families and fitted them across a wide range of trucks, from medium-duty distribution rigids to heavy off-road tippers. For remapping, that consistency is the whole point. The same Cursor 13 that sits in a long-haul Stralis also powers a Trakker on a construction site, so the expertise our R&D team builds on one platform carries straight across the range.

Where The Headroom Lives

Three families do most of the work. The Tector is the medium-duty unit in the EuroCargo, a four-cylinder 3.9-litre at the lighter end (130 to 170hp) and a six-cylinder 5.9-litre higher up (182 to 299hp), built for stop-start distribution and regional work. The Cursor family is the heavy backbone: the 7.8-litre Cursor 8 (around 245 to 360hp), the 10.3-litre Cursor 10 (400 to 450hp) and the 12.9-litre Cursor 13 (380 to 560hp), used across the Stralis, Trakker and the later Euro-series facelifts. Behind the earlier EuroTech, EuroStar and EuroTrakker sit the older 8000-series engines, the 9.5-litre and 13.8-litre units that hauled heavy loads across Europe through the 1990s and are still in service today.

Iveco uses the same block across a spread of power ratings within each family. A Cursor 13 rated at 380hp from the factory, the 13-380 on our platform, shares its 12.9-litre architecture with the 540hp 13-540. The difference is calibration, not hardware: injection timing, boost targets and torque limiters are all set conservatively so one engine can cope with every climate and duty cycle Iveco sells into. That built-in margin is exactly what a careful remap draws on. There is more in the hardware than the factory map ever lets you use.

Iveco trucks of this era run Bosch electronic diesel control (EDC) systems, with the common-rail Cursor engines using Bosch EDC7 and later EDC17 and MD1 units. Our R&D team has mapped the calibration architecture across these systems and developed each remap to the tolerances of the specific ECU fitted.

Our Iveco remaps deliver real, measurable gains across the range. Here are three examples:

How We Remap Your Iveco

How We Remap Your Iveco

Image - Iveco Trucks

The Health Check First

Every Iveco remap starts with a full diagnostic health check. We read the ECU, review the stored fault codes, and confirm that the engine and its systems are functioning as they should. If something needs attention, we deal with it before we go any further. There is no sense in tuning a truck that has an underlying problem.

Image - Iveco Trucks

Your Original Map, Saved

With the diagnostics done, we save a complete copy of the original Iveco factory map to a dedicated server and keep it indefinitely. If you ever need the standard calibration back, for resale, a warranty inspection or any other reason, we can put it straight back.

Loading The New Calibration

In most cases, the remap goes on through the truck's OBD port. Our agent connects to the Bosch unit, uploads the new calibration and checks every reading before signing off. Some older or specific ECU configurations need bench tuning, where the unit is carefully removed and connected directly, and our agents are equipped for both.

Quick, Clean & Reversible

Either way, the process is non-invasive, and the truck is usually back in service within a few hours. Most of our Iveco work is done at your premises, whether that is a depot, a yard or a workshop, so the truck stays where it needs to be, and downtime is kept to a minimum. If you are not too far from our headquarters, just outside Bristol in the South West of England, you are welcome to bring the truck to us instead.

Flexible Service For Iveco Operators

Most of our Iveco remapping happens at your premises. Whether you run from a haulage depot, a distribution centre or a plant yard, one of our trained and authorised agents comes to you, the trucks stay on-site, and the disruption to your day is minimal. If you would rather bring the truck to our headquarters just outside Bristol, you are welcome to do that too.

Our agent network covers the UK and reaches well beyond it, so wherever your Ivecos are based, there is likely an authorised installer within reach. Every agent has completed our training and works with the remap files developed by our UK R&D team, so the calibration is to the same standard wherever the work is done.

Running a mixed fleet of Stralis, EuroCargo and Trakker? We can phase the remaps so you are never short of trucks, and plenty of operators start with two or three to see the fuel and driver feedback before booking the rest.

Common Questions About Iveco Remapping

A:

Iveco's standard warranty terms do not cover aftermarket ECU modifications, so a remap could affect your warranty status for engine-related claims. In practice, most of the Ivecos we work on are well outside the warranty period, which is the nature of the Stralis, EuroCargo and Euro-series trucks we cover. If yours is still under warranty, check the terms first, and we are happy to talk it through.

A:

The remap itself is usually completed within a few hours, including the diagnostic health check beforehand and the verification afterwards. Work is normally carried out at your premises, though you can bring the truck to our headquarters just outside Bristol if that suits you better.

A:

No. Our remaps are developed around the specific operating limits of each Iveco engine, and the gains reflect the headroom Iveco has already engineered into the hardware. We do not push components past what they were built for. Every remap comes with a lifetime software warranty, and your original map is saved so we can restore it at any time.

A:

It depends on the engine, the load and how the truck is driven, but we typically see reductions of 5% to 15%. The biggest gains come from underpowered trucks hauling heavy loads along A roads, where the engine is working hardest, and the extra torque makes the most difference. Drivers also use less throttle to maintain speed under load, which further reduces consumption over time.

A:

Yes. We carry out all HGV work at your premises and can phase the remaps across the fleet so you are never short of trucks. Many operators start with a couple, look at the fuel data and driver feedback, and then roll it out to the rest.

A:

With more than 400 authorised agents across the UK and internationally, we cover most areas. Use our agent locator to find your nearest installer, or contact us, and we will put you in touch with an agent who covers your patch.

A:

Completely. We back up your original Iveco factory map to a dedicated server before making any changes. If you want the standard calibration back at any point, we restore it at no extra cost.
